In this role, your primary focus will be to assist with the acquisition of lands and right-of-way related to large-scale system expansions, acquisitions, greenfield projects, and fee purchases. You will be the connective tissue between regulatory compliance, landowner relationships, and project delivery - work that directly enables our pipeline infrastructure to operate safely and optimally.

What You Will Do:
  • Coordinate landowner communications, approvals, agreements, work authorizations, and interested party notifications using established processes.
  • Research property, title, agreement, contact, and land records, and prepare clear summaries to support operations and projects.
  • Prepare and maintain agreements, permits, correspondence, reports, partner records, work packages, and land data systems.
  • Support land acquisition, disposals, crossings, field maintenance, public awareness, and compliance activities while coordinating with internal and external interested parties.
  • Investigate and resolve routine landowner and collaborator inquiries, monitor deliverables, and communicate progress, risks, and data quality concerns.
  • Provide onboarding and knowledge-sharing support to team members and bring up sophisticated negotiations, claims, legal matters, or collaborator issues to senior land professionals.


Who You Are:
  • Related university degree, diploma, or professional land certification.
  • 2+ years of experience related to law, lands, and Right of Way. For candidates that do not possess a university degree, an additional 3-years' experience is required (total of 5+ years). For candidates that do not possess a technical diploma, an additional 2-years is required (total of 4+ years).
  • Fluency in both French and English is required.
  • Training and knowledge in land titles, legal documents, and oil and gas land activities and requirements.
  • Familiarity with, and ability to interpret, legal plans, legal documentation, titles, and engineering drawings.
  • Computer proficiency including Word, Excel, Geographical Information System (GIS), Access, and PowerPoint.
  • A high level of social skills and initiative in dealing with a variety of external and internal customers and interested parties, including lawyers, industry representatives, government agencies, landowners, and internal departments.


Working Conditions:
  • Office and field-support environment.
  • Work committed to specific assignments can involve above-normal stress levels
  • Expected to manage time and priorities consistent with role level, raise issues appropriately, and maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Frequent travel (~50%) is required to cover the region from Cardinal, ON, to Montreal, QB. Ability to travel and work throughout Ontario and Quebec.
  • A valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required which will be validated before hire.


Salary:
  • Ranges from $72,360 - $100,000 CAD for Canadian locations (except Alberta) based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
