The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. You will establish metrics, provide data analyses, and work directly to support business intelligence. You will evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position.

The Associate Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting will report to the Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting. You will ensure data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data. You will develop, build, and continuously improve complex reserving models leveraging cloud-based technology and advanced analytics. You will play a key role in the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of a cloud-based reserving model. In this role, you will leverage tools such as Databricks and Power BI to build, automate, and optimize reporting processes. You will conduct in-depth analyses to identify opportunities for improving reserve accuracy, translating your findings into actionable enhancements to the reserve model. This position requires strong technical capabilities, along with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to turn complex data insights into practical model refinements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation

  • Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)

  • Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms

  • Strong technology skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to design, build, and continuously improve complex models

  • Demonstrated self-starter and problem solver

  • Proficient with SAS/SQL

  • Experience with Databricks or Power BI

  • Experience developing and applying predictive models

This is a remote position.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$106,900 - $147,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
