Job Description

Position Summary

The Associate Director, Product Analyst is a key role within the Launch Line Intelligence product line team, responsible for independently owning and driving advanced manufacturing and process analytics capabilities within the MPI ecosystem. This position requires an individual who can own a full product domain end-to-end — integrating business needs, data capabilities, and technical delivery with minimal day-to-day direction. The role operates at an enterprise level, partnering with Technical Product Managers, S&T stakeholders, process data SMEs, data engineers, and cross-divisional IT teams to deliver valuable, compliant, and adoptable analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver a defined product domain end-to-end (e.g., process analytics, batch genealogy), with accountability for timelines, scope, prioritization, and business outcomes

  • Represent Manufacturing Science & Technology and Commercialization users — translating business and process needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria traceable through delivery and testing

  • Collaborate with senior S&T stakeholders across all modalities (biologics, small molecule, vaccines) and partner with data engineering teams to inform data acquisition, quality, and governance

  • Navigate ambiguous, evolving requirements and translate loosely defined problems into structured execution plans with minimal escalation

  • Drive business adoption and value realization of analytics platforms (particularly Seeq), including user feedback synthesis, data literacy promotion, and self-service enablement

  • Manage external vendors and contractors, ensuring effective utilization, clear deliverables, and alignment to program priorities

  • Develop and execute product communication strategies, including materials creation and value story collection

  • Ensure compliance with SDLC, GMP/GxP, documentation, testing, and deployment standards aligned with MPI solution governance

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or related field with minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience

  • Proven ability to own complex initiatives end-to-end and operate independently in ambiguous environments

  • Strong ability to translate business needs to technical requirements and communicate digital concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Analytical problem-solving skills with ability to independently develop innovative solutions for complex problems

  • Experience working both independently and collaboratively with globally distributed teams

  • Practice in Agile Methodology and Continuous Improvement with a digital and innovative mindset

  • Expertise in authoring and executing technical documentation following SDLC and Agile methodologies

  • Excellent communication skills with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes, manufacturing systems (MES, LIMS, PI, SAP), and scientific TechOps processes (deviation investigations, CPV, SPC, MVDA, AI/ML)

  • Experience with OSIsoft PI / PI AF and analytics/BI tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, JMP, or Seeq

  • Background in manufacturing or process analytics (PPM), including cross-site analysis and GMP/GxP considerations

  • Understanding of data ecosystems (ETL, data pipelines, data lakes, datamarts) sufficient to collaborate with data engineering teams

  • Experience with MANTIS Datalake, DataLynx/MPI mapping standards, or dbt
