Reporting to the Executive Director, Wheel & Brake Operations, as the Associate Director of Operations (Site Lead) you will lead and align the site's functions (Operations, Facilities, Maintenance, EH&S, CI, Production Engineering) through the development and execution of a cohesive strategy. While much of the day-to-day execution should be led by the functions, strong personal ownership will be required of Org Structure, Hiring, Performance Management, Talent Management, Productivity, Earned Value Management, Site Costs, and Standardization across the areas.

They bring excellent organizational and project management abilities and are highly skilled in communication, data analysis, facilitation, and presenting to broad audiences. Additionally, they have proven experience successfully leading cross functional teams and collaborating effectively across the organization.

What You Will Do:
  • Take a hands-on approach in coaching and guiding the functional leaders through any major projects, recoveries, and tactical activities as necessary to align with the strategic business plan annually, quarterly, and monthly.
  • Be the driving force behind the implementation of the CORE Operating System.
  • Concentrate on the strategic business needs of the site (capacity, headcount, financial impact/cost per hour/absorption/variance, alignment to AOP/Master Schedule/Monthly Plan, inventory, OTD), aligning and balancing them with the tactical execution of each function.
  • Support business travel up to 10%


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree (Management / Engineering or similar)
  • 10+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace
  • 10+ years in Operations related Leadership/Management roles (hands on VS/BUM/Operations Manager)


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Master's degree (MBA or Finance preferred)
  • Engineering or technical background with demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, chemical, textile, special processing, assembly) and experience with Carbon-Carbon operations
  • Experience with advanced production methodologies, including Automotive Production Systems (Lean, ACE, TPS, DBS) and Industry 4.0 implementation
  • Proficiency with key systems and tools, including Microsoft Office and SAP

The salary range for this role is 172,900 USD - 328,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
