Job Summary
The Assistant Superintendent serves as overseer of the curriculum, acts as an instructional leader of the district, and is the primary evaluator of district directors and district-based TOSAs. Ensures that the district/school educational objectives align with state frameworks and instructional practices that achieve the highest standards of student achievement, instructional excellence, and community support across all subject areas. Plans, organizes, implements, and promotes services throughout the district that maximize student attendance and welfare and minimize truancy and dropout rates; serves as hearing officer for District Student Attendance Mediation student disciplinary procedures; is a collaborative member of the Superintendent's cabinet.
