YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.
- Manage the Surface and Underground Engineering team, directing workflow and planning for the diverse workforce needs while ensuring proper levels of efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring company standards and best practices adhere to.
- Oversee and coordinate mine planning activities, track major construction projects, and month-end activities.
- Participate in budget preparation and cost control activities.
- Monitor, report, and improve KPI performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Support optimization projects aimed at improving productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing safety.
- Lead or support recruitment and training initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated planning and execution.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Keep the department updated on modern technologies and best practices.
- Serve as an Acting Engineering Superintendent when required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED- Bachelor's Degree in Mine Engineering or other relevant discipline;
- 12 years of combined experience in underground, open pit, and project management experience in mine engineering;
- Proven experience managing technical teams and mentoring staff.

Your Work Schedule:- Schedule: 7 days of work, followed by 7 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
