The Town of Jackson is seeking a qualified individual with demonstrated abilities in budgeting, GIS, capital project management, personnel management, and team building to assist in leading the Public Works team at the Town of Jackson. Position reports to the Public Works Director, assisting in all aspects of planning, directing and coordinating the work plan and management of the department, as well as specifically assigned projects. The Public Works team consists of administration, wastewater treatment and collection, streets and infrastructure, water wells and distribution, engineering, fleet maintenance/management, and facilities maintenance. The ideal candidate brings:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with 3 of those years in a supervisory capacity.
  • BS with coursework in engineering, public administration or closely related field.
  • Strong values orientation.
  • Local government experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
