Assistant Public Safety DirectorWhat You Will Do - Assists with the planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of departmental programs, services, policies, procedures, performance standards, budgets, contracts, procurements, grants, and strategic initiatives;
- Directs and coordinates day-to-day operations for assigned public safety functions, including community code enforcement, short-term rental enforcement, beach and park operations, marine-related activities, and beach pay-for-parking operations;
- Supervises, coaches, trains, schedules, and evaluates assigned personnel;
- Oversees enforcement and compliance activities;
- Administers and coordinates public safety technology and security programs;
- Coordinates public safety operations with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue, federal, state, and regional agencies, Town departments, contractors, and community partners;
- Develops and reviews policies, procedures, administrative guidance, reports, presentations, performance measures, and recommendations;
- Represents the Department and Town in meetings with residents, community organizations, governmental entities, contractors, and partner agencies
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver's license

Pay Range: $107,500 - $129,000 per year
