Jump in and imagine the possibilities as an Assistant Project Manager with Pomerleau. Using your proven experience and impeccable communication skills, you will take on an important role in supporting the Project Manager in the planning and execution of projects. You are a scheduling guru keeping project goals, execution, people and communication always top of mind.

As a successful Assistant Project Manager, you will maintain oversight of all project activities, identifying issues and applying your solution focused attitude to solve unique challenges and problems.

As a key member of our team, we will rethink construction together, from idea to completion. Everywhere. All the time. Period.

What you will do
• Assist the Project Manager in the planning, development, execution and coordination of projects and associated administrative duties;
• Independently manage specific scopes or elements of the project;
• Display excellent communication skills with all project stakeholders including internal team members, trade partners, consultants and clients;
• Track and report on project progress;
• Maintain, review and follow-up on shop drawings, RFI's, change orders, change notices, change directives, quotes and project completion documents;
• Show competency in and assist the Project Manager with site legal issues as needed;
• Request, review and analyze trade partner quotes with emphasis on obtaining the best prices for the Company and our Clients;
• Chair, co-chair or attend project meetings;
• Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project while complying with Pomerleau's HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and trade partners;
• Ensure all work completed by you, your team and other stakeholders exceeds Pomerleau's Quality Management standards;
• Complete all tasks assigned to you diligently and on time;
• Continue to enhance your construction knowledge and abilities through training and site experience;
• Support junior team members through training, development, mentoring and coaching.

This role could be for you if you have
• 5 - 7 years' experience in the ICI construction industry;
• University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience;
• Previous experience in project coordination or a similar role;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software;
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask;
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**The successful candidate will be required to obtain federal personal security clearance to the Level of Secret (10 years of continuous Canada residency, clear criminal record) **
