Responsibilities

  • Maintain various logs including RFI, change order, and invoice logs
  • Coordinate with site supervision for work package development
  • Field material and equipment purchasing as needed

MMR Assistant Project Manager - based in Shreveport, LA

Location: Shreveport, LA
Pay: $60/hour
Per Diem: $750/week

Job Description:

MMR is seeking Assistant Project Manager candidates that support project leadership in procurement, contract change management, reporting, documentation, and cost tracking while managing designated scopes and administrative workflows to maintain progress and compliance. The responsibilities would include, but not limited to, the following:
  • Assist with organization, planning, scheduling, and subcontractor scheduling of the project
  • Assist with developing job tracking systems including schedule, productivity, and cost
  • Maintaining and updating tracking systems, schedules, cost reports
  • Participate in weekly client update meetings Maintain meeting minutes and action logs
  • Prepare and submit weekly client update reports
  • Preparing and submitting change orders
  • Coordinating with site supervision to build work packages
  • Prepare and submit client invoices
  • Maintaining RFI log, change order log, invoice log, restraint log, drawing log, equipment log, material log
  • Updating schedule of values and preparing client invoices
  • Field material and equipment purchasing as required
  • Manage assigned scopes under PM direction

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BS in Construction Management or related field
  • Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred
  • 2-6 years project support experience, with a focus in project engineering
  • Must understand procurement tracking, change management, reporting, billing support, and documentation
  • Must have knowledge in estimating, scheduling, and purchasing
  • Experience in managing subcontracts
  • Able to manage assigned scopes with limited supervision
  • Strong ownership and follow-up
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Regular and reliable attendance at work
