Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:Your job responsibilities at the outset of your appointment are summarized below. Specific responsibilities, work locations and clinical schedules may change over time consistent with the development of your practice and the needs of the Department.
Your initial clinical responsibilities, which will focus on Head & Neck patient care, will include seeing patients at the soon-to-open Center for Advanced Medicine in Sunset Hills, the Werth's Ambulatory Cancer Building, and/or other locations as deemed appropriate. OR block will be established for you, as needed, at appropriate on and/or off campus locations. It is expected that you will devote 90% of your full-time equivalence to patient care with, on average, four day's per week in direct patient-facing activities. You will be expected to participate in the adult clinical call rotation.
Your initial teaching responsibilities will include teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows in the Department of Otolaryngology. It is expected that you participate in didactic teaching programs, journal clubs, and related activities.
The Department understands that your scholarly and research focus at WUSM will involve outcomes in head and neck patient care, including but not limited to functional outcomes after reconstruction. We also expect you to hone a research vision and area of academic focus in the upcoming years, with the help of a mentorship committee.
Required Qualifications- M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school.
- 5 years of residence training.
- 1 year of fellowship training in Head and Neck.
