Job Description Summary

This is a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, offering the opportunity to inspire students, engage in impactful research, and contribute to the department's accreditation and curriculum development efforts. Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach six undergraduate courses per year in Computer Science and Information Technology using face-to-face, telepresence, online (synchronous and asynchronous), and hybrid teaching modalities.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at conferences.
  • Provide academic advising, mentoring, and maintain regular office hours.
  • Participate in departmental, college, and university governance through committee service.
  • Contribute to program development, assessment, 5-year program review, and ABET accreditation preparation.
  • Design, evaluate, and revise culturally relevant curricula and courses, collaborating with colleagues across disciplines.
  • Develop new courses in areas of expertise.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science from an accredited institution (ABD candidates considered if degree is completed by appointment date).
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of: Publishing on the Web I, Publishing on the Web II, Internet Application Development, C# programming, Distributed Internet Computing, Python Programming, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, Database Management Systems, Networking, or Computer Programming Languages.
  • Evidence of effective teaching in face-to-face (On Ground) and online modalities, with at least one year of undergraduate-level experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry experience in relevant Computer Science fields.
  • Background or professional experience in Cybersecurity and/or Artificial Intelligence.
  • Experience mentoring undergraduate research and engaging with community partners.
  • Leadership experience in program development and management.
  • Active participation in professional development through presentations and publications.
