Major/Essential Functions- Provides inpatient and outpatient adult neurology clinical services to include critically ill neurological patients and stroke consults at either the assigned Neurology Outpatient clinic or the designated affiliated hospital(s)
- Supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include presentation of lectures
- Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
- Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
- Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complimentary to the institutional mission
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications- Bilingual (Spanish and English preferred)
- Regional or emerging national recognition in the area of specialty for consideration at the rank of Associate Professor or higher

Required Qualifications- M.D. or D.O. Degree
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program
- Successful completion of an ACGME- or UCNS-accredited neuro-critical care fellowship program in the United States
- Board Certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Texas medical license, or eligible for licensure in Texas
