ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Brief Description:
The Board of Education of the Middlesex County Magnet Schools is currently seeking applications to fill the position of High School Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 school year.
This will be a twelve month tenure trach position.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess or qualify for a valid NJ Instructional Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility, with endorsement as a Principal (#0200)
  • Prior successful experience as a high school administrator is preferred.
  • Knowledge of best practices, project-based learning, and critical thinking skills.
  • Commitment to creative teaching methods and infusing technology into the curriculum.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of data analysis to measure student performance.
  • Knowledge of best practices concerning instruction and behavior management.
  • Demonstrates confidence and efficiency in evaluating staff and providing meaningful feedback.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills for communicating and connecting with students, staff, administrators, parents, and the community.
  • Maintains high standards of student conduct and enforces discipline as necessary, in accordance with the student handbook and board policy.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

Salary Range:
Compensation will be determined through negotiation with the Superintendent.
