The Assistant Principal is an integral member of the leadership team at Cedar Springs Middle School. General administrative duties are aligned to provide support for student academic success, wellness, leadership, and extracurricular engagement. Under the direction of the Principal, the Assistant Principal serves as a leader in planning, coordinating and supervising school activities and programs.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Valid MI Administrative Certificate required
- Valid MI Teaching Certificate required
- Middle School experience preferred
- MA Degree in Administration or Leadership preferred
- Previous administrative experience preferred
- Three (3) years of successful teaching experience required
- Leadership capacity in the areas of planning, supervision, human relations, communications and staff development
- Dynamic background in curriculum development, implementation and assessment preferred
- Extensive history of developing positive relationships and building positive culture
- Excellent communication skills
- High standards, ethics, honesty and integrity
- Flexibility
- Ability to work well with members of varied stakeholder groups
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
REPORTS TO: Middle School Principal
START DATE: July 1 or TBD
WEEKS WORKED: 41 weeks (205 days)
SALARY RANGE: $94,000 - $106,000 with proper certifications/qualifications
