Assistant Principal for Torrington High School - Grades 9-12
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Assistant Principal of Torrington High School serves as a vital instructional and operational leader who supports a positive climate and culture, ensures high-quality teaching and learning, and fosters pathways toward college and career readiness. As Torrington Public Schools launches a new, unified campus for its high school, middle school, and central office, this leadership role will help shape and sustain a cohesive school community grounded in shared values, excellence, and belonging.

QUALIFICATIONS:- Valid Connecticut Intermediate Administration Certification (092)
- Preferred: Experience teaching at the high school level
- Demonstrated skill in leading instructional improvement, managing systems, and supporting school culture
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with data systems and technology tools relevant to instruction and operations
- Deep commitment to public education and student-centered leadership

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and terms of employment are according to the Torrington Public Schools Administrators Association Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Torrington High School Assistant Principal is a 12-month position with an annual salary for 2026/2027 of $157,775.
