Assistant Parts Manager
Johnson Truck Center
Manassas, VA

$85,000

The Assistant Parts Manager will work with the Parts Manager to strive to grow the department and make necessary decisions to maintain a profitable Parts Department. This individual will have experience working at a vehicle parts counter or experience with vehicle/heavy duty equipment parts or repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist management in achieving an acceptable operating profit for the department by increasing sales and gross profit dollars while also being aware and managing expenses appropriately
  • Assist in overseeing outgoing and incoming freight to minimize costs and maximize recovery charges
  • Review monthly financial reports with Key Performance Indicators and develop action plans to address any that are below specified goals
  • Recommend pricing strategies that balance volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business
  • Actively identify prospects for volume sales (fleet operators or independent service and repair centers)
  • Occasional driving is required
