Job Summary:
Under the direction of the VP of Patient Care Services and the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager coordinates the clinical operations of the unit and oversees patient care functions as approved by the State of Maine Board of Nursing and St. Joseph Hospital policies and procedures. Direct supervision will be provided by the Clinical Manager.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Nurse Manager assists the Clinical Manager in the achievement of organizational and department- specific goals and objectives. This position works in a supportive manner to the Manager as a charge nurse with additional leadership responsibilities that are broader in nature and extend beyond the oversight and supervision provided during a single shift. The position will provide back- up clinical support in the absence of the Manager.
Requirements
Education: ASN Required, BSN Preferred
Experience: 1-3 years of experience ( minimum of 2 yrs exp)
Licensure(s): Current State of Maine RN License or Compact State RN License
Certification(s): ACLS & BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire, PALS preferred
Comp Range:
$38.70 - $53.30
