Job Duties

The successful incumbent will have:
• Considerable knowledge of state program budgeting.
• General knowledge of state policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
• Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications
• Extensive experience in budget development, projections and management.
• Experience in automated accounting systems required.
• Extensive computer skills: Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel required.
• Experience with understanding and establishing policies and procedures and compliance with regulatory policies as they relate to finance.
• Experience with regulatory audits as it relates to finance.

Additional Considerations
• Previous experience in an accounting environment within Virginia State Government preferred.
