Full Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and oversee accounting, budgeting, payroll, utility billing, and financial reporting functions.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, fostering professional growth and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards (GASB) and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor financial activities and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
  • Assist with preparing the annual audit, budget, and multi-year financial plans.
  • Step into the Finance Director's role when needed, ensuring smooth departmental operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in finance, accounting, public management or related field.
  • Five or more years progressively responsible related experience in governmental accounting.
  • Two or more years supervisory experience, or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • CPA is beneficial but not required.

COMPENSATION

The base salary range for this position is $121,410 - $148,667, depending on qualifications.
