About the RoleAs our
Assistant Director of Sales, you will support the execution of the hotel's sales strategy while driving revenue growth and building strong relationships within the local market. This role will have a strong focus on
Business Transient (BT) sales, developing and maintaining key corporate accounts, generating new business opportunities, and maximizing room revenue.
This role is ideal for a results-oriented sales leader who is passionate about hospitality, relationship building, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Your Impact - LeadershipYou will contribute to the success of the Sales & Marketing team by driving top-line revenue, expanding market share, and strengthening relationships with key clients. Through collaboration, innovation, and a customer-focused approach, you will help position M Social Sunnyvale as a preferred destination within Silicon Valley.
What You'll Be DoingLeadership & Ownership- Support the execution of the hotel's sales strategy and revenue goals
- Build and maintain strong client relationships within the corporate and business travel segments
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence
- Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in achieving departmental objectives
Business Transient Sales- Prospect, solicit, and develop new Business Transient (BT) accounts
- Maintain and grow existing corporate relationships to maximize room revenue
- Conduct outside sales calls, site inspections, and client presentations
- Negotiate rate agreements and manage RFP opportunities
- Develop account strategies to increase market share and production
- Partner with Revenue Management to optimize account performance and pricing strategies
Revenue & Business Development- Drive room night production and revenue growth
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends
- Monitor account production and market intelligence
- Prepare forecasts, reports, and account plans to support revenue goals
- Maintain accurate sales activities and account information within CRM systems
Guest & Client Experience- Deliver exceptional service rooted in a passion for hospitality
- Build long-term relationships with clients and business partners
- Anticipate client needs and respond with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Represent the hotel and brand professionally within the community
Team Collaboration- Partner closely with Revenue Management, Operations, Catering & Conference Services, and Marketing teams
- Collaborate with other sales leaders to maximize total hotel revenue
- Contribute to a positive and high-performing team environment
People Leadership- Support and mentor members of the sales team
- Foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement

- Maintain accuracy in contracts, proposals, reports, and documentation

- Experience supporting and developing team members
Technical / Role-Specific Requirements- Strong knowledge of Business Transient (BT) sales and corporate account management
- Experience managing negotiated accounts and responding to RFP opportunities
- Knowledge of the Silicon Valley market and key demand generators preferred
- Experience with Delphi or similar hotel sales systems
- Strong understanding of revenue management principles and account profitability
- Ability to analyze market trends and account production to drive results
- Experience conducting outside sales calls, networking events, and client presentations
Education- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
