Assistant Director of Project Management

About the Role

Allen Industries is hiring an Assistant Director of Project Management to lead day-to-day execution across project teams and drive operational performance across key accounts and verticals. This is a hands-on leadership role-you will lead Team Leads, ensure project delivery performance, and translate company strategy into executable results.

What You'll Do

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
  • Lead and manage Project Management Team Leads across assigned verticals
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget/margin expectations
  • Monitor workload, staffing alignment, and team performance
  • Serve as the escalation point for project and personnel issues
  • Identify risks early and implement corrective actions to protect timelines and margins
  • Coach, develop, and hold Team Leads accountable for results and communication
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Estimating, Design, Operations, and Installation teams
  • Review project financials, forecasts, and budget variances
  • Drive process improvements and standardization across teams


What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive project management experience
  • 7+ years in a leadership role with direct people management
  • Proven experience leading managers or team leads
  • PMP Certification Preferred
