Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing (RN Designee) Location: Southport, CT Employment Type: Full Time (Tuesday-Saturday) Salary Range: Competitive Department: Nursing
Key Responsibilities
Supports the Resident Services Director (Director of Nursing) in overseeing nursing services
In collaboration with the Resident Services Director, directs, plans, and coordinates professional and auxiliary nursing staff in delivering resident care
Interprets policies and regulations for nursing personnel and ensures full compliance with applicable standards
Analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services to maintain and enhance quality of resident care
Partners with the Resident Services Director to provide oversight of residents' healthcare needs, including the medication delivery system
Coordinates and supports in-service training for Resident Care Departments
Contributes to a team-based approach to quality resident care by supporting residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being
Helps residents maintain the highest possible level of independence and quality of life
Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:
Must be a Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in the state of Connecticut, with a minimum one-year experience in assisted living or home care
A passion for working with seniors is preferred
Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members.
In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
