Job DescriptionThe Director of Staff Development / Infection Control position requires Competencies and providing continuing education to employees as needed. This role also overseen infection control for the community
Responsibilities- Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teaches staff current accepted patient care and center practices.
- Ensure that the facility follows current CDC, OSHA, and local regulations concerning infection control or standard/universal precautions.
- Competencies for all New Staff
- covering RN shifts as needed
- scheduling
- Coordinate infection control program
Qualifications- Must hold current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred but not required. Background/training in infection control is preferred.
- Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience preferred
- Current CPR certificate desired.
- On call
- Covering RN shifts as needed.
