Full Job Description
We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing

QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed in the State of New York as a Registered Professional Nurse. Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of three years' experience in a Long-Term Care Facility and/ or 5 years progressive nursing management experience. Candidate must possess (or obtain within 12 months from date of hire) PRI Certification. Candidate must have demonstrated clinical competence in nursing practice and should possess knowledge of the principles and practice of teaching, administration and communication skills. Candidate must possess certification (or obtain in 12 months) in Infection Control Preventionist.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

The Assistant Director of Nursing Services is required to assist the Director of Nursing in the planning, organizing, controlling and directing of nursing services to ensure that optimal achievable quality nursing care is provided to all residents. The Assistant Director of Nursing Services is required to direct all activities toward the fulfillment of the philosophy, goals and objectives of the facility. This individual also assumes responsibility for the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating of the staff development and their IT training related to both clinical and documentation programs to maintain compliance.
