Job SummaryThe Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) assists the Director of Nursing in leading the nursing department to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. This role supports daily nursing operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and oversees infection control practices within the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing and leading the nursing department
- Organize and direct day-to-day nursing operations in compliance with local and state regulations
- Ensure the highest quality of resident-centered care
- Plan, organize, and implement training programs and clinical in-services for nursing staff
- Support compliance initiatives and maintain effective communication across all levels of nursing staff
- Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing to meet resident care needs, including participation in recruitment efforts
- Oversee competency evaluations and corrective action plans as needed
Requirements- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience in a clinical setting (preferred)
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a long-term care or sub-acute setting (preferred)
- PCC certification (preferred)
