Assistant Director of Building Elements

About the Role

Allen Industries is hiring an Assistant Director of Building Elements to lead day-to-day operation of Building Elements (BE) project management teams. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving execution, identifying and developing team leaders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to margin and customer expectations. You will serve as a key operational. leader - translating direction from the Director into consistent, high-performing results across the BE team.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage BE project management teams across accounts
  • Ensure consistent execution of SOPs, processes, and communication standards
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget/margin expectations
  • Monitor team workload, staffing alignment, and capacity
  • Serve as the escalation point for project and personnel issues
  • Oversee projects to ensure appropriate schedule, scope and margin performance
  • Identify risks early and implement corrective actions to protect timelines and margins
  • Coach, develop, and hold project managers accountable for results and communication
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Estimating, Design, Operations, and Installation teams
  • Review project financials, forecasts, and budget variances
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiency


What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive project management experience
  • 7+ years in a leadership role with direct people management
  • Proven experience identifying and developing leaders
  • Background in manufacturing, construction, or related industry
  • PMP Certification Preferred
