South Dakota State University is seeking an Assistant Dean for Academic Programs with the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences. This position will manage college-level activities related to student success in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) including Scholarships, Career Fair, New Student Orientation, Academic Advising, and student engagement. Additionally, this position will oversee the academic unit of Agricultural Leadership, Education, Communication and Science (ALECS). Teaching and advising responsibilities are also included. This position is located inBrookings. This position is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will lead student success activities, serve as coordinator of ALECS academic program, primary instructor for AGED 119 First Year Seminar, AFES 494 Internship and other courses as needed. They will also assist when needed in various administrative duties related to curriculum development and academic activities within the college.
