Assist the Controller with the financial affairs of the organization including preparation of financial statements and audit support. Provide business management tools and reports for managers throughout the company. Demonstrate a relentless pursuit of continuous improvement for the company.

- Independent Discrepancy Resolution: Assist with month-end and year-end closing process,account analysis and reconciliations ensuring consistency with generally accepted accounting principles.
- ERP Implementation: Direct experience with system implementations, data migration, or system testing highly preferred.
- Process Optimization: Continuously reviews workflows to improve efficiency rather than passively repeating previous monthly routines.
- Time-Sensitive Execution: Sense of urgency and reliability around critical deadlines, audits, insurance reviews, and close targets.
- Schedule & Communication: Clear communication on project status, availability, and scheduling priorities to ensure key deliverables are completed without disruption.
- Month-End Close Ownership: Responsible for managing a substantial portion of the month-end close checklist as well as prepares and maintains reconciled audit schedules month-to-month to ensure year-round audit readiness
- Analysis: Perform balance sheet, income statement and cash flow account analysis each month
- Guidance & Direction: While this role has no direct reports, the candidate must be able to guide, train, and provide task-level direction to junior staff on accounting procedures.
- Regulatory filings: Prepare annual property tax returns, 1099s, sales tax returns, fuel taxes and other reports required by regulatory agencies.

Requirements: - Compliance with ethical standards of accounting societies.
- CPA or CMA required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Master's degree in Business Administration.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, construction industry experience preferred
- Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with IFS ERP (or similar enterprise ERP environments) and advanced Excel proficiency (experience with all of these systems is not required to apply).
