Full Job Description
Job Summary

*Incumbent must work a percentage of time each week in the Omaha, Ne office.

Reporting to the VP Financial Reporting, coordinate and provide work direction for the Financial Reporting team with a focus on the financial and regulatory reporting for our Associations and AgDirect LLP. Coordinate and provide work direction for additional team functions, including account reconciliation, variance and materiality analyses, and implementation.

Ensure compliance with requirements established by GAAP, Farm Credit Administration (FCA) regulations, AgriBank FCB, CoBank ACB, our Boards, our policies and procedures, and effective and efficient business practices. Adhere to all applicable Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR).

Work in a team environment focusing on customer service and support of the Associations' strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting Coordination & Review
  • Coordinate, provide work direction, and review the Associations' balance sheet reconciliations for completeness, accuracy, and segregation of duties.
  • Coordinate, provide work direction, and review the preparation of external regulatory reporting in compliance with GAAP and FCA regulations for the Associations and AgDirect LLP.
  • Coordinate, provide work direction, and review the preparation of the FCA Call reports in compliance with FCA regulations.
  • Liaison with Funding Banks on reporting, variance analysis, and reconciliation matters.
  • Prepare the annual analysis for PCA/FLCA allocations for tax purposes.
  • Support team review of monthly financial statements to ensure accurate month-end close and understanding of the position and performance of the Associations.
  • Support implementation and alignment of Collaboration reporting.

Risk Management
  • Coordinate and provide work direction for materiality analysis.
  • Perform analysis and other work required for the annual patronage programs for the Associations.
  • Coordinate and provide work direction for the development and maintenance of ICFR applicable to the Reporting team processes and procedures.
  • Assist and serve as backup for various duties for other Association team members.
  • Serve on or as back up for cross functional teams, workgroups, and analysis.
  • Coordinate and provide work direction for the development and implementation of new reporting systems, updates, and modifications.
  • Work with internal and external auditors, and coordinate and provide work direction for remediation of deficiencies and fraud control initiatives.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree Minimum in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.


Years of Experience

  • 6+ years of extensive experience in corporate financial reporting, accounting operations, and regulatory compliance with a complex, multi-entity enterprise environment.
  • CPA or CMA certification highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and reporting requirements for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to coordinate complex reporting cycles, variance analysis, and accounting research, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced reporting environment with commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Miscellaneous tax experience preferred.
