WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
- Maintain and improve financial processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and improve efficiencies.
- Review and audit balance sheet reconciliations
- Analyze and audit the monthly departmental expenses.
- Prepare periodic financial reports for CFO and leadership team.
- Manage an effective cost accounting system for the two US sites. Manage standard costs. Analyze production variances.
- Manage the sales tax process.
- Provide backup and support to other accounting functions.
- Support the APAC finance teams with balance sheet and OPEX analysis.
- Provide financial support with business acquisitions in the US
- Research accounting issues
- Review commercial terms and conditions of sale
BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
- Bachelor`s degree in accounting or finance.
- Excellent understanding of GAAP and relevant financial accounting regulations.
- Experience with all aspect of financial statement preparation
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- CPA preferred
- 4 years of accounting experience.
