Position Overview

  • Department: Nursing Administration
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East, Trussville, AL

What You Will Do

Serves as direct support to the Chief in executive management of nursing services and clinical to support associates, including driving adherence to standards of professional practice and regulatory requirements. Oversees the operational responsibility for a group of patient care areas and/or special projects or initiatives.

  • Engages and assembles stakeholders to drive results focusing on health care economics, quality/safety nurse sensitive indicators, case management, continuum of care, regulatory management and healthcare operations.
  • Attracts, recruits and retains talent, cultivating engaged nurses, leaders and support staff focused on high-quality care driving the consumer experience.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to execute business strategies that improve overall performance metrics and financial performance.
  • Formulates policies and procedures consistent with recognized standards of professional practice and compliance of regulatory standards.
  • Fosters a culture of appreciation, belongingness, inclusivity, diversity and equity to drive the associate experience. Develops professional communication and information for the hospital's top nursing leader.
