What you'll do at DBH :As the Assistant Chief Clinical Officer (ACCO) at Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare (COBH) you will:- Assist the CCO in providing strategic and operational oversight of all clinical services within the COBH facilities which includes 208 inpatient beds in the main hospital, 52 maximum-security inpatient beds in the Moritz building, and 250 outpatient clients served through the Community Support Network (CSN).
- Supervise assigned psychiatrists, periodically evaluate performance, approve/disapprove time and leave requests, and handle coaching and counseling as needed.
- Provide guidance and direction to all medical staff and ensure psychiatric care meets all standards and requirements as outlined by COBH, DBH, ORC, and the Joint Commission.
- Meet regularly with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary treatment teams to review cases, their treatment plans and progress, and provide guidance on difficult or challenging cases.
- Helps to oversee the hospital's bed management, admissions, discharges, and waitlists.
- Collaborates with outside psychiatrists and other physicians to assure coordination and continuity of care to a community setting.
- Provides general training and educational services to medical/clinical staff. Serves as the director of Psychiatric Education, a liaison to OSU Dept of Psychiatry and other affiliated educational institutions.
- Functions as a collaborating physician to Advance Practice Nurses at COBH to comply with medical staff bylaws.
- Performs as the Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) or Cross Coverage Doctor (CCD) as needed.
Compensation & Incentives: Approximate Annual Salary: $250,000 - $275,000
Total compensation is based on experience, credentials, and scope of clinical leadership. This position also offers full State of Ohio benefits and is eligible for federal
Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
This position is unclassified per 124.11 (A) (9), Ohio Revised Code.Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with a flexible schedule.
