Full Job Description
Your Impact
The primary purpose of the Private Brands Management Lead (Assistant Brand Manager) is to assist in developing differentiated, meaningful brands at Lowe's. The role will support in executing against growth opportunities leveraging consumer insights, understanding the competitive landscape and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive the overall strategic success of Lowe's owned brands. The position will report to the Brand Manager-Private Brands and will serve as a subject matter expert, in partnership with manager, of assigned owned brand(s).

What You Will Do
  • Maintain brand standards on assigned brands - the brand positioning and identity
  • Research and maintain knowledge on relevant product assortment, competitive landscape, market dynamics and maintains competitive tracking information
  • Serve as a knowledgeable partner for designated private brands. May be the first point of contact for questions for designated brands
  • Support Brand Manager - Private Brands in moving each brand's strategy forward through project execution, creating deliverables and communicating with cross-functional partners
  • Gather consumer insights and shares opportunities for assigned brands with Brand Manager - Private Brands
  • Create private brand business cases for designated brands and shares information to the Brand Manager to aid in the building of new strategies and market positioning.
  • Communicate brand positioning to cross-functional partners to ensure alignment across channels. Provide guidance to the product development team on assortment line designs to ensure alignment to brand standards
  • Write creative briefs to support for brand assets, such as photography, infographics and copy
  • Provide first level support to creative teams, marketing, agency and digital on creative assets and consumer touch points
  • Gather information from product development and vendors to aid in associate training for product launches
  • Conduct competitive and insights audit to help inform potential brand claims. Work with Product Development team and QA on substantiating claims and documenting for legal review


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Merchandising, Marketing or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 5+ years experience in marketing or brand management
  • 3+ years writing strategic briefs and working cross functionally with creative teams


Preferred Skills/Education
  • 1+ years experience managing a P&L or working alongside a P&L owner
  • 1+ years experience leading brand or category work at a retailer or CPG company
