What this role is all about:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager supports leading the retail branch team to deliver exceptional, member-centric experiences aligned with Beem's People First, Digital First strategy. This role assists in achieving branch-level performance goals, operational excellence, member engagement, and compliance. Acting as a key partner to the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager helps ensure frontline teams are equipped to deliver advice-first service, drive digital adoption, and foster strong member relationships while driving business growth through a sales goals approach. Additionally, this role provides coaching and development support to team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing branch culture.

What you'll do:

Operational Support & Leadership

  • Assist in translating Growth's strategic objectives and alignment with branch goals into actionable plans and monitoring progress.
  • Support execution of sales, service, and digital engagement objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including workflow coordination, risk controls, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure integration of digital tools and self-service options into member interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain alignment with branch and organizational objectives.
  • Help manage scheduling and resource allocation to meet member traffic and service needs.


Team Development

  • Provide guidance and coaching to advisors to strengthen advice-first engagement and operational consistency.
  • Support onboarding and training for new team members.
  • Reinforce performance expectations and assist in identifying development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment, including developing a high-performance team.


Member Experience and Sales & Advice Support

  • Drive branch execution of goals-based advice and referral strategies.
  • Encourage and strengthen cross-role collaboration to ensure seamless member experiences.
  • Monitor sales and referral activity and share insights with the Branch Manager to identify opportunities.
  • Model exceptional service and assist in resolving escalated member concerns.
  • Support continuity of member relationships across branch roles.
  • Promote feedback loops to improve service delivery and member satisfaction.


Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory standards, and ethical sales practices.
  • Lead and assist in preparing for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and operational integrity.


Community Engagement

  • Support local market activation initiatives and community outreach efforts.
  • Help identify opportunities to strengthen Beem's presence in the local market.


A little about your qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in retail banking, financial services, or a member/customer-focused environment.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proven track record in sales and service delivery, with strong knowledge of advice-based financial solutions.
  • Familiarity with digital banking tools and strategies to drive adoption and enhance member experience.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and ethical sales practices.

  • Compensation: The salary range for this position is $77,400 - $83,000, with pay based on your skills and experience, and performance bonuses tied to shared goals
