Full Job Description
The Assistant Athletic Director is a 12-month, fulltime administrator in the athletic department, fully supporting the work of the director. This position is charged with assisting the athletic director in the preparation of athletic schedules and events, and the maintenance of all athletic facilities (both on and off campus) and equipment used for games and practices/trainings, and the scheduling of required support personnel including officials and game day staff. The Assistant Athletic Director is fully responsible for managing employed bus drivers/our three buses and coordinating the school transportation schedule, which primarily involves athletic schedule needs, as well as daily metro drives and school field trips as needed throughout the school year. Assistance with administrative needs, including score reports, athlete rosters, updating schedules and preparation for athletic competitions and the school athletic banquet are all aspects of the job. The Assistant Athletic Director understands that this job involves a flexible athletic leadership schedule due to varied morning, afternoon and evening hours and weekend events for administrative coverage of the practice and game schedules throughout the year.

Essential Functions:
? Work with the athletics department to provide a safe, competitive school athletics environment, leading with professionalism and collaboration
? Work with the athletics department to maintain gym, field, training, fitness-related facilities, equipment and athletic campus areas in clean, neat, operable condition
? Work with the athletics department to prepare facilities for games and practices as necessary
? Schedule on and off-campus facilities necessary for athletics
? Maintain/Publish daily schedule of events, including early dismissal of athletes and bus departure schedules
? Ensure athletic teams and school groups are transported and returned in a safe and timely manner, and work with any additional transportation vendors needed
? Coordinate with the athletics department and school staff regarding rosters and teams' early dismissals
? Coordinate with the facilities team and security director regarding supervisory needs and scheduling needs

Required Qualifications
? Minimum Bachelor's degree in appropriate field; Master's degree preferred
? Experience working with the administration and management of an athletics program
? High-level organizational skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with large and small audiences and individuals at all levels
? A thorough understanding of and commitment to safety protocols
? Experience with or readiness to learn school management software (Blackbaud)
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
? First aid and CPR certification or eligibility for certification within 30 days of employment
Terms of Employment
? Full-time, 12-month employee
? 40 hours/week, subject to responsibilities of position and frequently requires evening and weekend duty
? Background check and Virtus training/full compliance
? Valid driver's license
