Assistant Administrator, Patient Care Services, Baptist Beaches

The Assistant Administrator, Patient Care Services provides operational and administrative leadership for acute care hospital services and serves with delegated authority and accountability in the absence of the President. This role has direct responsibility for clinical operations and supports the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across the organization.

The Assistant Administrator promotes and facilitates an interdisciplinary approach to care delivery for patients, families, and the community. The position is also actively involved in operational processes that directly impact the patient and family experience, with a focus on quality, safety, efficiency, and service excellence.

This leader is responsible for fostering a collaborative environment where teamwork is valued, clinical excellence is promoted, and leaders and caregivers are empowered to achieve strong operational and patient care outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational and administrative leadership for acute care hospital services.
  • Assume delegated authority and accountability for hospital operations in the absence of the Vice President.
  • Provide oversight and leadership for clinical operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, policies, and standards.
  • Support and facilitate an interdisciplinary team approach to the delivery of care to patients, families, and the community.
  • Partner with nursing, medical staff, ancillary services, and operational leaders to promote coordinated and efficient patient care.
  • Lead and support initiatives focused on clinical quality, patient safety, patient experience, operational performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and improve operational processes that impact patients and their families.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, engagement, and clinical excellence.
  • Support leaders in achieving departmental and organizational performance goals.
  • Ensure clinical operations remain compliant with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
  • Participate in strategic planning and implementation of initiatives designed to improve care delivery and hospital operations.
  • Serve as a visible and accessible leader who promotes effective communication across clinical and operational teams.

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive healthcare operations experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative leadership experience.
  • Leadership experience within an acute care hospital environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary clinical and operational teams.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement.

Education and Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Nursing Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Florida required.
  • FACHE preferred.
