Job Description

Job Duties: Associate, Sales Support with Goldman Sachs Wealth Services, L.P. in Deerfield, Illinois. Multiple positions available. Work alongside an advisor team to help service clients and their families, providing comprehensive personal financial planning, investment planning and tax services to corporate employees, executives, and other high-net worth individuals. Implement complex investment strategies for high net-worth clients by overseeing new account opening, funding, asset transfers and account maintenance while ensuring compliance with client's risk profile and investment objectives. Prepare income tax returns for clients, interface with third party tax preparers and monitor client tax payment obligations. Prepare various reports and analyses for clients in the areas of personal financial statements, cash flow planning, income tax projections, insurance reviews, investment allocation, investment performance, estate document reviews, estate flowcharts, etc. Establish trust and rapport with clients over the phone and in person by asking open-ended questions and using inclusive language; ultimately forming long-term relationships with our clients. Extensive telephone contact and/or face-to-face interaction with clients, and their outside advisors, to obtain information, onboard new clients, ensure a seamless client experience, and help the advisor team provide advice. Assist the team in documenting the client file to ensure all communication and client service is well documented. Conduct individual research on client's financial planning questions using internal resources and the questions can vary from a specific tax treatment to a specific investment product.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior employment must include two (2) years of experience with: working with clients to determine their current income, expenses, insurance coverage, tax status, financial objectives, risk tolerance or other relevant information needed to develop a financial plan; tax projections and reviewing withholding and payments for completeness and accuracy; financial products including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, Equity Awards, and insurance; developing and supporting solutions for client needs in estate planning, taxes, investments, insurance, cash flow management, and risk management; and applying knowledge of U.S. income tax rules while assisting with individual income tax return preparation process for high-net-worth individuals.
