Job Summary

Prevents financial loss caused by theft and fraud in assigned locations. Minimizes company losses by identifying theft and fraud incidents, preventing associate injuries, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring physical security, and driving a culture of safety and shrink elimination

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Gathers supporting information during incident reviews and ensures corrective action implementation.

  • Drives sales and profitability by ensuring safe and secure working environments, including implementing and communicating asset protection programs, initiatives, and strategies.

  • Initiates, conducts, and closes all internal and external investigations in compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Ensures that all asset protection activities are compliant with local and state regulations and internal policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Facilitates safety meetings, ensures safety committee positions are filled, and all assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner .

  • Performs and/or delegates routine hazard and environmental, health, and safety compliance inspections, ensuring abatement and corrective actions are completed .

  • Manages and develops shrink and theft awareness programs and advises management of unusual activity using various reporting methods.

Nature and Scope

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.

Work Environment

  • Usually located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort, such as dust, fumes, or odors.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.
  • Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Pay Range

$70,200.00-$102,800.00 Annual
