Full Job Description
We9re looking for an Asset Protection Investigator to provide investigative support and services for our Operations facility in our Santa Ana headquarters and other Collectors locations. As the Asset Protection Investigator, you will embody Do The Right Thing by protecting People, Assets, and Brands. You will work in an energized, fast paced environment focused on creating a safe environment for our employees. You9ll need to understand the big picture strategy and work with cross-functional teams and external partners. This position is expected to work independently, leveraging investigative and intelligence collection skills and building a strong (internal + external) network. You9ll report to the Sr Manager, Asset Protection and work onsite 5 days from our Santa Ana, CA or Jersey City, NJ office, with occasional travel. What You9ll Do: 3 Identify and lead the mitigation of internal loss. 3 Conduct investigations focusing on: 3 High value missing/lost product 3 Identifying trends to mitigate the possibilities of internal theft 3 Confirming operational mishaps/errors 3 Leveraging CCTV, handling incident Reporting, completing data Analysis 3 Carry out company-wide loss prevention investigations, adhering to best practices & procedures. 3 Generating clear and detailed reports & recommendations for countermeasures. Thoroughly document information gathered during investigations to aid in successful prosecution of suspects. 3 Developing & presenting procedural improvements utilizing strong analytical and problem solving skills. 3 Create, maintain, and manage records using company approved methods, proper retention of evidence and disposition of evidence. 3 Collaboration with external stakeholders & law enforcement - Upon successful completion of investigation, prepare professional case files and refer cases to law enforcement for prosecution. Attend hearings as required and update appropriate files with court-related outcomes. 3 Conduct stationary, foot and mobile surveillances as necessary to develop case intelligence, partnering. Collaborate with the Collectors Security Team to progress investigations to closure. Some travel to other markets may be necessary to perform these job duties at other facilities. 3 Work with the Head of Global Asset Protection to proactively identify gaps/areas of improvement with respect to digital security systems (access control, video surveillance, video storage) or physical processes that create exposure to theft. 3 Maintain relationships internally with key stakeholders and leadership and externally with Local/State/Federal Law Enforcement. Who You Are: 3 3+ years of proven professional experience in Loss Prevention/Asset Protection, 3 1+ years of proven investigative experience in Loss Prevention/Asset Protection, Law Enforcement or Corporate Security with in-depth 3 Excellent analytical skills and broad experience documenting investigations with the ability to think outside the box, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders 3 In depth knowledge of security systems, basis of design concepts and specifications including access control and video monitoring systems (CCTV) 3 Ability to work independently with minimal direction 3 Detailed knowledge of investigative rules & techniques, proper procedure, and chain of custody with a focus on documentation and experience in preparing for, and testifying in, Local/State/Federal Court, preferred 3 Experience conducting risk analyses, vulnerability and gap assessments, and physical security surveys and preparing recommendations for leadership & business partners for the elimination of procedural/policy issues that increase theft exposure, preferred 3 Bachelor9s degree in an area of study relevant to this position, preferred 3 Certifications: WZ Certification preferred Physical Requirements: 3 Bending and Twisting: Bending neck/waist, twisting neck/waist, and squatting. 3 Computer Use: Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time. 3 Exposure to Machinery: Exposure to machinery noise, which may include noise from forklifts, injection presses, or other machinery. 3 Hand Use: Power gripping when using low-precision, high-impact hand tools that require significant force, such as hammer drills and torque wrenches. 3 Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions. 3 Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50+ pounds, with employee help or with proper equipment. 3 Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. 3 Temperature and Humidity: Occasional exposure to warehouse environments without heating or cooling with fluctuations in temperatures and humidity. 3 Walking: Ability to walk for long periods. Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $61,396 - $99,678. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
