Job Description: The
Asset Coordinator serves as an Operations Supervisor for a process unit or operational area, acting as the critical link between Operations and Maintenance teams. This role is responsible for coordinating daily activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards. The Asset Coordinator maintains a strong field presence, continuously validating operating conditions, identifying risks, and intervening when necessary to drive excellence in personal safety, process safety, operational performance, and asset reliability.
Key Accountabilities:Personal SafetyChampion a strong safety culture by ensuring Operations and Maintenance personnel identify, assess, and control personal safety risks through effective use of safe work permits, adherence to procedures, and compliance with Control of Work (CoW) requirements.
- Serve as the Control of Work (CoW) subject matter expert for the assigned unit.
- Ensure the safe and efficient execution of all work activities, considering workload levels and concurrent work when developing daily and weekly schedules.
- Prioritize maintenance and project activities and establish daily and weekly work plans.
- Ensure adequate Operations support and coverage for maintenance and project work.
- Coordinate the safe and timely preparation of equipment for maintenance activities.
- Verify that all required approvals are obtained before maintenance work begins.
Process SafetyDrive the completion of process safety-critical maintenance activities and ensure Management of Change (MOC) requirements are applied appropriately to maintenance-related work.
- Ensure process safety-related maintenance activities are completed on schedule, including preventive maintenance, critical alarms and trips, and inspection activities.
- Act as the gatekeeper for determining when a Management of Change (MOC) review is required for maintenance work orders.
ComplianceSupport regulatory and environmental compliance by ensuring timely completion of compliance-related maintenance activities.
- Ensure Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) activities and corrective actions are completed within required timelines.
- Promote compliance with applicable company standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
ReliabilityLead the maintenance work management process for Operations to increase asset reliability, operational efficiency, and equipment availability.
- Facilitate daily and weekly maintenance scheduling meetings.
- Prioritize maintenance and project work based on production needs and operational priorities.
- Ensure maintenance notifications are appropriately prioritized and communicated.
- Communicate maintenance plans and schedules to unit personnel and stakeholders.
- Maintain a rolling 16-week maintenance outlook in collaboration with Production Specialists.
- Manage maintenance backlog planning, prioritization, and execution.
- Ensure preventive maintenance (PM) compliance targets are achieved.
- Issue Maintenance Coordinator Game Plan updates on behalf of the Operations team.
- Ensure work that cannot be completed during normal operations is incorporated into Turnaround (TAR) planning and execution.
Cost ManagementSupport cost-effective and sustainable operations through effective maintenance planning and budget management.
- Lead the development of the annual maintenance budget on behalf of Operations.
- Monitor monthly spending, provide accurate forecasts, and explain budget variances.
- Find opportunities to optimize maintenance costs while maintaining safety, compliance, and reliability standards.

Requirements:- EET or equivalent required; additional technical education or equivalent in engineering is desirable
- Experience in petrochemical operations and/or providing health and safety support in a relevant industry (refining or petrochemical)
- Knowledge and operation of electrical equipment
