How you make a differenceThe Senior Director of Artificial Intelligence establishes and executes the organization's enterprise AI strategy while overseeing the development, implementation, governance, and support of AI solutions across business and clinical operations. This role drives innovation and transformation through the practical application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics, automation, and emerging technologies. The position partners with executive leadership to identify high-value opportunities, develop scalable solutions, improve operational efficiency, and create measurable business outcomes. The Senior Director also leads AI governance, ensures compliance with privacy and security requirements, and builds the capabilities needed to support long-term AI adoption and success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the enterprise AI strategy and manage a portfolio of initiatives based on business value, operational impact, and strategic alignment.
- Lead the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and automation solutions.
- Partner with executive and functional leaders to identify transformation opportunities, drive adoption, and measure operational, financial, and quality outcomes.
- Establish responsible AI governance frameworks and ensure compliance with privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Manage teams, budgets, resource plans, vendors, strategic roadmaps, training programs, and communications with senior leadership.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in technology, digital transformation, software development, analytics, automation, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 2-3 years leading enterprise AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or automation initiatives.
- Experience implementing and scaling AI solutions that deliver measurable business results.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale cross-functional transformation programs.
- Experience managing multiple teams, including leaders and technical professionals.
- Healthcare experience required.
- Experience evaluating and managing third-party technology vendors and strategic partnerships preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
- Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Platform, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related professional certifications preferred.
