As the Army & Air Force Systems Operations Senior Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving performance across a $12B portfolio encompassing production, sustainment, and aftermarket. You will serve as the key liaison between Program Management and Operations and will lead a team of Operations Manufacturing Program Managers (MPMs) to ensure delivery on cost, schedule, and technical commitments.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
- Oversees the status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Monitors the assessment of project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Ensures the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Leading program operations for Army & Air Force Systems production and Sustainment, coordinating across Production Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Program Management.
- Managing financial performance using Earned Value Management (EVM), EAC (Estimate at Completion), and CSR (Contract Status Review) processes.
- Overseeing labor and material execution and driving operational alignment to program requirements.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring metrics that track productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Driving operational performance through strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement.
- Supporting employee development, including recruiting, performance management, training, compensation, and recognition.
Basic Qualifications- Proven experience in managing complex production programs, including experience with aircraft manufacturing and systems integration
- Strong knowledge of operations and program management principles, practices, and tools, including production planning, scheduling, and control, Earned Value, Risk & Opps
- Experience with aircraft modifications, upgrades, maintenance and repair programs, and supply chain management is highly desired
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., operations management, industrial engineering, supply chain management)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in operations management, production management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Desired Skills- Experience with lean principles and six sigma methodologies is desired
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop effective solutions
- Strong communication and coordination skills

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $178500.00 - $331500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
