Full Job Description
SPA has a need for Arms Control & Treaty Implementation Analysts to support inspections, exercises, and analysis across multiple treaty regimes. The role connects treaty requirements with operational realities, ensuring Air Force units are prepared for inspections, rehearsals, and policy reviews. Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain inspection and exercise plans, scenarios, and checklists that integrate HAF, MAJCOM, unit, and interagency stakeholders.
  • Review treaty provisions and related documents to identify impacts on Air Force operations; support preparation of briefs, assessments, and reference materials.
  • Facilitate rehearsals, exercises, and lessonslearned events, updating procedures and training based on findings.
  • Assist in preparing and supporting realworld inspections and treatyrelated working groups.
  • Maintain data trackers, reference tools, and documentation supporting treaty compliance and implementation.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in international relations, security studies, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in operational missions or major exercises, inspections, or policy analysis
  • Ability to translate treaty requirements into practical operational procedures
  • Strong skills in scenario design, research, and coordination across multiple echelons
  • TS/SCI clearance and willingness to travel

  • Background with nuclear, CBRN, or armscontrolfocused exercises
  • Experience turning exercise or inspection results into updates for policy, doctrine, or training
  • Prior work supporting senior leaders in headquarters or interagency environments
