Main Duties & Responsibilities

Summary:
PennAero is hiring an Area Manager at our Allfast Fastening Systems location inCity of Industry, CA. Allfast Fastening Systems is a leading globalmanufacturer of solid and blind rivets, blind bolts, temporary fasteners, andinstallation tools for the aerospace industry. Our fasteners are crucial forthe structural integrity of both commercial airliners and military jets. As akey supplier to major aerospace manufacturers, Allfast's products support thecommercial, military, and general aviation platforms in production and inservice.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for defining and implementing the appropriate management controlsfor the organization. Focuses on short-term goals that include achievingand maintaining adequate production, quality, and delivery in support ofcustomer and organizational requirements; and long-term goals, which includeformulation, planning, and implementation of tactical strategies in support ofcompany objectives.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:

Manages manufacturing supervisors and will provide support for Maintenance,Shipping & Receiving and Processing Departments.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization'spolicies and applicable laws.

Establishes and enforces company policies as necessary and activelyparticipates in the company's safety, health, and environmental programs.

Formulates, plans, and implements long-term goals and strategies. Determinesproper daily pace for production.

Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual goals as set forth in the company plan.

Coordinates and collaborates with Inside Sales Team on customer support toensure on time deliveries.

Provides high level of focus on daily operational activities to ensure timelydeliveries within budget constraints.

Sets and implements the necessary controls to ensure quality products aredelivered on schedule.

Coordinates with Quality Assurance in the flow down and understanding ofcustomer needs to suppliers.

Coordinates status information on projects, shipments, production, inventorylevels, lead-times, and various other status reports as needed.

Creates and optimizes opportunities for cost and lead-time reduction, costavoidance, and productivity increases. Includes the establishing andplanning of capital expenditures.

Designs flow path, balance line with proper number of machines design plannedwip inventories to ensure constant flow. Establish standard work for labor.

Develops self and employees by attending seminars, professional organizationalmeetings, or conferences.

Provides creative leadership in managing assigned functions.

Projects a professional image to subordinates, peers, suppliers, and customers.
OTHER COMPETENCIES:

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals,professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groupsof managers, clients, and customers.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw validconclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technicalinstructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract andconcrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge ofManufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software andWord Processing software. Detailed command of Power BI

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.
Six (6) years minimum related Manufacturing experience.
Minimum three to five years' experience with supervisory responsibility in a high-volume manufacturing environment with applicable experience in an operational role.

Fasteners experience preferred.

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000.

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
