Position Title:

Area Maintenance Manager

Pay Rate:

$125,000 - $135,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:
  • Supervise and develop multidisciplinary managers with team members
  • Coordinate maintenance work to safely ensure maximum reliability of all equipment, meet financial constraints, utilize trade skills, meet lead times, using the necessary special equipment and repair procedures.
  • Maintain and improve the preventive/predictive maintenance system, provide excellent equipment care, and follow-up to ensure safe, timely and satisfactory completion of corrective maintenance work.
  • Critically and objectively address priorities while scheduling jobs.
  • Participate in maintenance budgeting and department strategic business plan.
  • Inspect repairs/modifications and observe test runs to ensure safe, reliable operations.
  • Maintain relationships between reports while strategy planning.
  • Develops relationships of employees using tools such as conflict resolution and change management.

The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:
  • Bachelors (Engineering Preferred) or 5+ years of industrial, maintenance, or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Paper Mill experience and process knowledge.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation system experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment and priority of safety
  • Ability to be flexible by being open to other ideas, valuing the strengths of others, shows compassion, and is a positive advocate of others.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet both internal and external customer needs.
  • Exhibit effective problem-solving skills. 5 Whys or RCFA training or experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Pro-active in follow-up and resolution of issues with accountability of self and reports.
  • Makes good decisions in a timely manner based upon a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Products, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Teams, SAP, TRAKS, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Engineering, Operations, Technical or Maintenance.
  • Previous leadership experience in Maintenance or Process Manager.
  • Maintenance job planning experience.
  • Understands complex safety systems (ZES, Confined Space, Hotwork, etc.)
