Full Job Description
Overview

The Area Field Leader trains, mentors, and supports their assigned Area Technicians, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable service for clients. This role is hands-on and expert-level in medium/heavy-duty repair, stepping in on repairs as needed while managing day-to-day operational and repair excellence in partnership with Regional and National Service Managers.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Regional Service Manager to set priorities, track progress, and manage daily/weekly work assignments, including emergency requests
  • Ensure service-level requirements are met daily, weekly, and monthly; report results and present data to management
  • Lead safety training and conduct unannounced field quality control audits
  • Advance technicians from apprentice to Tech 4 using the Technician Development Pathway; mentor Area Apprentices
  • Adapt quickly to changing business needs, client demands, and regulatory requirements
  • Diagnose problems, gather information, and recommend or implement solutions
  • Positively influence team performance in the organization's best interest

Physical Requirements

  • Extended periods (up to ~2 hrs at a time): standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, twisting, pushing/pulling/lifting, using hand tools, operating air/hydraulic equipment, and driving a service vehicle
  • Shorter periods (up to ~15 min at a time): lifting/moving up to 100 lbs, climbing onto truck/trailer chassis (4-5 ft) or a ladder (up to 15 ft), and handling parts/materials up to 45 lbs

  SCHEDULE:
  • No Weekends: Work/Life Balance.
  • Monday through Friday, with typical start times between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM- no later than 1PM.
  • Daily start times are assigned the afternoon before, with notice by 3:00 PM.
