As an Area Facilities Manager, you oversee maintenance operations for a home community and support 5-7 additional communities, ensuring safe, compliant, and well-maintained environments for residents and team members.
What You'll Do:
• Lead day-to-day facilities operations at your home community
• Support Maintenance Coordinators across your regional cluster
• Ensure compliance with life safety, AHJ, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee preventive maintenance and TELS CMMS compliance
• Manage capital projects, vendor bids, and contract performance
• Provide 24-hour emergency response support as needed
• Conduct facility audits and semi-annual building reviews
• Train, coach, and mentor maintenance team members
• Assist with budgeting, expense control, and insurance claims
• Support new community openings and occupancy readiness standards
You play a critical leadership role in protecting assets, maintaining compliance, and delivering high-quality environments that enhance resident experience.
What We're Looking For:
• 5+ years facilities management experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
• Supervisory experience leading maintenance teams
• Ability to read blueprints and manage vendor contracts
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
• Flexibility to travel and work weekends as needed
