The Area Director of Residential Services is responsible for assisting in the multi-site leadership, administration, and oversight of CPM's residential programs. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services while maintaining compliance with Department of Developmental Services (DDS) regulations, licensing standards, organizational policies, and all applicable federal and state regulations. The Area Director provides operational leadership, coaching, and supervision to residential coordinators to promotes a culture of accountability and continuous quality improvement and works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure individuals receive safe, respectful, and individualized support.
• Provides oversight of all assigned residential programs and direct supervision and to Coordinators • Demonstrates an ability to effectively respond to crises and emergency situations • Ensure residential homes operate in accordance with CPM and DDS regulations, licensing requirements, and agency policies. • Monitor program quality, staffing, safety, and service delivery. • Conduct regular site visits and operational reviews. • Ensure homes maintain a clean, safe, therapeutic, and person-centered environment. • Conduct regular supervisory meetings and performance evaluations. • Monitor staff accountability and performance expectations. • Participate in internal quality assurance reviews and corrective action plan implementation. • Develop and monitor completion of recommendations and corrective action plans for investigations. • Review incident reports and ensure timely follow-up. • Monitor documentation quality and regulatory compliance. • Prepare programs for licensing, certification, and external audits. • Ensure services reflect individuals Person-Centered Plan (PCP), promoting dignity, choice, community inclusion, and independence. • Ensure individuals receive appropriate medical, behavioral, therapeutic, and social supports. • Monitor implementation of behavioral support plans and risk management plans. • Collaborate with guardians, families, DDS personnel and interdisciplinary teams. • Assist with scheduling and review overtime utilization and staffing efficiency. Page 2 of 2 • Assist in monitoring program budgets, ensuring responsible utilization of agency resources. • Review consumer funds documentation. • Ensure timely reporting of incidents and monitor trends to identify systemic concerns. • Work collaboratively with, Human Resources, nursing Services, clinical Services, quality assurance, maintenance, finance, etc. • Represent CPM at DDS meetings and community meetings when assigned. • Other duties as assigned.
