Starting Salary: $95,000 annually

Job Description

What You Get To Do:

The Area Director is responsible for the overall management and administration of programs/services and new development that serves those with developmental/intellectual disabilities. This includes budget development and implementation, rate negotiation, licensing, strategic evaluation and planning, staff development, hiring and supervision of program directors and assigned support staff, policy development, marketing, and proposal development.

Duties of this role include, but are not limited to;
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of records and service delivery
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all funding sources, regulatory bodies, and inter-agency liaisons and families of those we serve.
  • Oversee internal and external audit processes.
  • Assist with marketing development of new business and projecting revenue and monitoring monthly expenses.
  • Plan, implement, and maintain all aspects of business and program development.
  • Review and recommend policies and procedures to enhance program efficiency, and use technical and analytical tools to measure performance and productivity.
  • Communicate changes in policy and procedures
  • Hire and supervise program staff, evaluate programs and staff performance for quality assurance and utilization. Assisting in staff/caregiver training.
  • Implement agency and state quality assurance programs.
  • Initiate and performs activities to ensure compliance with company's mission, strategic goals, and quality standards
  • Implement and analyzes persons served/staff incident tracking systems
  • Negotiate and develops contracts with outside agencies


Qualifications

What Makes You A Great Fit:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in the Human Services field with 4 years of progressive management experience required. Experience in residential services preferred
  • Must be able to meet Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals (QIDP) qualifications, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be willing to work flexible hours.
  • Prior experience providing support and services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Must possess sound decision-making and communication skills; be responsible, professional, and flexible.
  • Successful clearance of a criminal background check for licensing requirement
  • Good communication is key in this role. You'll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members.
